Super Duplex Steel
We stock Super Duplex Steel in the following forms:
We have the following grades in stock:
Super duplex stainless steels are characterised by a two-phase microstructure consisting of both austenitic and ferritic phases, and it is the combination of these phases provides enhanced mechanical and corrosion-resistant properties compared to traditional austenitic stainless steels.
Super duplex stainless steels take these advantages a step further by having an even higher alloy content, typically with increased amounts of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen, which together make it highly resistant to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and pitting. It is often used as a substitute for 300 series stainless steel, high nickel super-austenitic steels and nickel-based alloys.
